Despite economic woes and stock market turbulance, the collectibles markets seem to continue to show strong demand and upward trends. For this reason, and my love of collectibles in general, I continue to scour the countryside, seeking "fresh" material for my website and eBay listings. Thus, I am always able to add new items each week to ensure that the selection is as potent as possible to peak visitor interest. As a matter of fact, I sold six original-owner Silver-Age and Bronze-Age comic book collections through my website and eBay listings last year and have surpassed that so far this year. There were also plenty of Golden-Age comics sprinkled in those collections. For you card collectors, I recently ran over 400 1939 Play Ball cards, nearly 200 1948 Leaf boxing cards and near sets of high-grade 1950 and 1954 Bowman, 1953, 1954, 1956 and 1961 Topps baseball cards, but the highlight of this year and last are the complete Pedigree-Quality Topps and Bowman sets from 1948-2000 from the "Rothman" collection of outstanding baseball cards. This is a newly Pedigreed collection that is fresh to the market after having been neatly tucked away the last 20+ years.
