An original "International News" wire photo depicting Babe and Claire Ruth along with their pet dog "Pal". Photo is stamped on reverse "May 15, 1947" and also has the photo as it appeared in the Examiner newspaper, neatly affixed which speaks of Ruth's failing health. There is some wrippling to the photo, but no major flaws. There is also two tiny staple holes in left margin area. Photo also exhibits artistic touch-ups by newspaper staff artist, which was common at the time.
