MGM first released Gone With the Wind in a roadshow format in 1939, playing the film in just a few theatres across the country. Among the promotional material used at the theatres during this early release were these wonderful Promotional Displays. Each piece resembles an oil painting of the various stars, done by famed artist Armando Seguso. The four stars featured here are Clark Gable, Vivian Leigh, Leslie Howard and Olivia DeHavilland. Each piece has had extremely minor professional touch up work. The Vivian Leigh piece has a light water stain that runs across the bottom portion of her dress. Regardless of the minor flaws, this is an incredible opportunity to own a very rare set of original Roadshow Promotional Displays. I've never seen or owned another set.
