American Half Sheet 22" x 28"

James Stewart plays Elwood P.Dowd, a wealthy and eccentric drunk who sees an imaginary rabbit, a claim that raises the eyebrows of local townspeople. Although his sister (Josephine Hull, in an Oscar-winning turn) occasionally sees him too, Stewart's imaginary friend begins to interfere with her plan to find a suitable husband for her daughter. Hull sets into motion a plan to have Stewart and his rabbit committed, with surprising results. Eventually, Harvey brings magic into the lives of everyone in town, which shows how beneficial an alcoholic's charming delusions can be. This half sheet actually gives form to Harvey's invisible spirit in a line drawing, as well as showing the shocked reactions of everyone he and Stewart encounter. Aside from a small tear on the right side and a fingerprint smudge at the center, the poster looks great, with clean borders and vivid art. Very Fine+.
