American Lobby Card 11" x 14"

Theater-goers escaped Depression woes by flocking to the wildly popular gangster films. Even mobster John Dillinger couldn't stay away from this film. Unfortunately for him, this film would be his last film or outing for that matter. MGM, too, couldn't avoid the blossoming, dark genre. However, they maintained their characteristically pleasant and colorful style, which didn't translate grit the way Warner Brothers could. The combination of Loy, Powell and Gable kept this film afloat and continues to make the paper desirable. Corner pinholes, bends plus a slight border tear keep the beautiful card from an excellent grade. Fine+.
