Charles Chaplin, Paulette Goddard, Jack Oakie, dir: Charles Chaplin; Great card in bright colors with the three main actors and brilliant caricature of Chaplin as Adenoid Hynkel (Dictator of Tomania) by Al Hirschfeld. Though several of Chaplin?s films prior to this had music and sound effects tracks and Chaplin had sung briefly in MODERN TIMES, this film was indeed the first time he spoke dialog on screen. A fun and historic piece from a film which dared make fun of Hitler during his reign. There is a bit of surface dirt, mostly on the blank margins, two pin holes at center top of card, one on white margin, one at very top of yellow background, tiny nick at upper right blank white margin, VERY FINE.
