American Insert 14" x 36"

Clara Bow, the uninhibited "It Girl" of the silent screen, exuded a new sexuality that had audiences flocking to theaters during the Roaring '20s. Although this insert poster offers a wonderful portrait shot of Clara at the height of her fame and presents as Very Fine, somebody way back when added the word "Tuesday" and "Tavern Casino" in stencil-style lettering within two of the yellow background strips on the right, then somebody came along afterwards and painted over with pretty good matching yellow, making it extremely hard to even notice where the lettering was without close inspection. The insert also has slight toning all around the edges from having rested against matboard that apparently wasn't acid-free while framed. This is certainly not detrimental to the overall great eye appeal of this poster. The rest of the poster is in great shape and does not appear to have any other restoration, aside from the aforementioned areas within the yellow background art. Truly a rare find from this scarce title!
