Director Ishiro Honda's film about the famous 400-foot tall mutant dinosaur is the true 'King' of Toho Studios releases, and spawned one of the longest running series in the history of film. Honda used this film as a visual metaphor for the devastation wrought on Japan by the Atomic Bomb. Wonderful artwork shows Godzilla, with his glowing dorsal spines and radioactive breath, laying waste to Tokyo. This half sheet had been folded and had a chip at each of the two lower corners and some slight border imperfections that are now non-existant since the poster has been professionally paper-backed. The poster is bright and has great eye appeal.
