Francis Ford Coppola's masterpiece based on Joseph Conrad's controversial noval, "Heart of Darkness" became a smash hit and was nominated for eight Academy Awards. Starring in the film is Marlon Brando playing a Colonel who goes AWOL first and then insane, setting himself up as a Cambodian jungle lord. Also starring in the film are Robert Duvall, Dennis Hopper and Martin Sheen.
